She is a Finnish visual artist and art curator living in Seinäjoki, Finland. Her works are shown in Finland and many other countries. She has been awarded in Finland and abroad. She likes international artistic cooperation.

Liisa Malkamo is a member of Finnish Painters, Finnish Printmakers, The Finnish Society for Curators, IAPMA.

”The development to a piece of art may take quite a long time. A perception cannot have a visual, often abstract expression before a metamorphosis. The birth of a piece of art is a process, which now and then is going on during the exhibition or exhibitions. I need time to examine the phenomenon, sometimes written information about it. I choose the medium for a work according the visual idea. Often I handle the same theme as well as paintings, as graphic art, or installations. I like the idea: Less is more.”
